The trails vary in difficulty, and the stunning waterfalls are a highlight for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Lost Maples State Natural Area & Lost Maples Winery (Vanderpool, about 75 miles from Fredericksburg)

While I didn’t get the chance to explore Lost Maples State Natural Area itself, I did stay nearby at Lost Maples Winery in my RV. This charming winery offers stunning views, delicious wines, and peaceful surroundings—an ideal spot for RV travelers looking for a relaxing retreat. As a member of Harvest Hosts, it’s also a great place to stay overnight while exploring the Hill Country. If you’re planning a trip during the fall, consider pairing your winery visit with a scenic drive through Lost Maples State Natural Area, known for its spectacular autumn foliage.

Garner State Park (Concan, about 97 miles from Fredericksburg)

Dripping Springs Distilling Tour (Dripping Springs)

Here are some of the best spots to satisfy your cravings—whether you’re starting your day with a big breakfast or indulging in a memorable dinner.
